The 14" EliteBook 640 G9 Laptop from HP is a cost-effective, powerful, and highly secure system that allows easy standardization into existing IT environments, while giving end-users the tools they need to work from almost anywhere. This system is powered by a 12th Gen Intel Core i5-1245U 10-Core processor and 16GB of 3200 MHz DDR4 memory that can be upgraded to 64GB.

The 14" UWVA anti-glare IPS display features a Full HD 1920 x 1080 native resolution that is equipped with LED backlighting, a 16:9 aspect ratio, 1000 nits of brightness, a 1500:1 typical contrast ratio, a refresh rate of 60 Hz, viewing angles of 85/85/85/85°, and coverage for 100% of the sRGB and 72% of the NTSC color gamuts. Integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics delivers a sharp, clear picture, and you'll be able to output video to an external display using DisplayPort via Thunderbolt 4 and HDMI 2.0b outputs. The display also features an integrated HP Sure View panel, which produces a copper reflective finish when the screen is viewed from the side, making it appear unreadable.

For storage of your files, there's a 512GB solid-state drive. If you want to add external storage drives or other peripherals, the EliteBook 640 G9 features one 40 Gb/s Thunderbolt 4 port that supports DisplayPort 1.4 and USB Power Delivery. There are also three 5 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one of which doubles as a charging port. Gigabit Ethernet and Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) are built-in for wired and wireless networking, while Bluetooth 5.2 technology will allow you to connect additional compatible peripherals. Other integrated features include a 720p IR webcam with an integrated privacy shutter, plus face-detection security and system unlocking via Windows Hello. Also featured are dual-array mics, 2W stereo speakers, and a touch fingerprint sensor for fingerprint authentication.

The EliteBook 640 G9 Laptop includes a 65W power adapter and an HP Long Life 3-cell / 42Wh lithium-ion polymer battery that supports fast charging of up to 50% in 30 minutes and lasts for up to 11 hours before recharging is required. The installed operating system is Windows 11 Pro (64-bit).

The streamlined Start Menu design also lets you pin apps and recent files in addition to powering down the system.

Snap Layouts are also automatically restored when docking laptops with external monitors.

Stay connected with friends, family, coworkers, and clients with Microsoft Teams Chat integrated onto the Windows 11 taskbar. With a touch, you can connect to your contacts via text, voice, and video, regardless of whether they're using Windows, Android, or iOS devices. You can also communicate with those who don't have the Teams app installed using two-way SMS messaging.

Apps downloaded from the Store have been tested for security and family safety. Android apps will also be available on the Microsoft Store through the Amazon Appstore and can be used directly on your PC from the taskbar or Start Menu.

Additional Windows 11 Pro Features

The Pro version of Windows 11 includes all the features that Windows 11 Home offers plus many designed specifically for business users, including Hyper-V virtualization, BitLocker disk encryption, and remote desktop access. Devices can also join domains and the Azure Active Directory and have access to Enterprise device management features. Windows 11 Pro does not require a Microsoft Account or an internet connection when setting up for the first time.
