With no installation or configuration required, the TL-SG1005P 5-Port Gigabit PoE+ Unmanaged Switch from TP-Link makes it easy to begin connecting additional Ethernet-enabled devices to your network.

This switch comes equipped with five Gigabit Ethernet ports, four of which are 802.3af PoE-compliant. This means you can power a variety of PoE-compliant devices such as access points and IP phones directly from the switch, and with a power budget of up to 65W there is enough power to go around. Should connected devices exceed that power budget, this switch is capable of shutting power off to network ports starting with port 4. Once installed, connected clients can take advantage of bandwidth up to 10 Gb/s and a 2K MAC address table to ensure optimal network performance.

Power over Ethernet

Four of the five auto-negotiation RJ45 ports (port 1 to port 4) support Power over Ethernet (PoE). These PoE ports can automatically detect and supply power to IEEE 802.3af compliant-Powered Devices (PDs).

Overload Arrangement

The TL-SG1005P has the priority function which will help protect the system when power is overloaded. If all PoE PDs power consumption exceeds 56W, a priority will be arranged among the PoE ports, then the system will cut off the power of the lowest-priority port.

Port Priority Function

This function means that port 4 will be cut off when total PoE power consumption exceeds 56W. For an example, if Port 1, 2, and 4 are using 15.4W each, the system power is 46.2W total. If there is an additional 10W PD connected to Port 3, the system will cut off power to Port 4 while Ports 1 and 2 will still use 15.4W and Port 3 will use 10W.

The TL-SG1005P is easy to install and use with a simple management utility.
